  • Found a shop to do it on the spot, waited there 3 hours, then got on the road and almost immediately blew a tire on the concrete mixer I was towing LOL

  • My '03 popped a brake line on the highway  when I was driving from CT to MA. That was fun

  • advCo:
  • What year is your truck?
  • Hurco550:
  • i've always been a chevy guy, but why in the hell they used steel brake lines that rusted out not even half way through the service life of the truck is beyond me.
  • Maritime:
  • Yep, have to open a window every so often to keep from passing out;
  • advCo:
  • Lol yeah. We used to run one in the garage at my rent's place when my dad and I were restoring the Beetle

  • advCo:
  • My shop has an open ridge vent so any heat just goes straight up and out
  • Today at 11:20:03
  • advCo:
  • Yeah those propane heaters do pretty well
  • Today at 11:19:48
  • Maritime:
  • I'd like to insulate but that would reduce the space too much, I have the heated basement shop for bikes but can't work on cars there so I just blast the propane to get the chill off and go in the car side
  • Today at 11:16:18
  • advCo:
  • Yeah I'll have to make room for it. I'm fixin to pull everything out of the shop probably later this winter and insulate and sheetrock the shop
  • Today at 11:14:54
  • Maritime:
  • I'd throw a wood burner in the garage here if I had space, but I don't
  • Today at 11:13:13
  • Maritime:
  • Nice
  • advCo:
  • Cool, guy here at work wants to trade an old wood burning stove for some fiberglass work on his boat
  • Today at 11:08:27
  • Maritime:
  • Ha, yep, you should be able to clean the rust out of the drums and re-use. Good luck
  • Today at 10:23:24
  • advCo:
  • I gave up around 8:00 I'll give it another go tomorrow. It came off about 1/4-3/8" so I may be able to get a big 3 jaw puller behind the drum and try that. I want to reuse the drums otherwise I'd just beat the hell out of it with a BFH
  • Today at 10:06:50
  • advCo:
  • Yeah, I think the shoes are rusted to the drums. The driver's side, the liners just came off the shoes so it popped off easy
  • Today at 10:02:51
  • advCo:
  • Ha yeah that will happen.
  • Maritime:
  • I wrecked my old heater using it while painting. The thing sucked the overspray in and it plugged it all up and now it won't light or burn right, need to remember not to do that with the new one.
  • Maritime:
  • Shitty. Rust?
  • advCo:
  • I spent 2 hours trying to pull the pass side rear drum off the bus last night. Driver's side came off by hand. Had to modify my hub puller but even that wouldn't pull it
  • Today at 09:52:52
  • advCo:
