I recently got a GS550 (2 in fact) and one did come with a 130 rear tire, so it can be made slightly bigger if you want. Appears to be on the same original rims too

Awesome work by the way!

Hi there, like this bike, nice work! I'm finishing my ''77 gs550. Little problem in the carburator/jet adjustment...
Really would like to know what you are running as pilot and main jet, hope you can help! :)

Wil post a pic if possible.

Greetings from Amsterdam

That looks a real nice build, high quality!!!
It looks like you have, pardon me for saying it, cheap Emgo type filters, not used them before but many have not had a great deal of success with them, best to get the real K&N's then you know its good!!! Get RC-0884, its a kit that includes 2x K&N part # 0880 and 2x RC-2620 so the outer ones are shorter and don't hit the frame.
I have a supertrapp muffler on mine, so all in all my settings will probably be different.

But I have 107.5 main jet, standard pilot jet, needle centre position, pilot air screw out 1 turn, pilot fuel screw in 1 turn for factory setting. Works great and runs sweet. Good luck and get those K&N's :)

Thanks for your help. I will check soon what I have in there now, I thought 110.

And yes those cheap air filters are a waste of money! The outer ones are k&n, and slightly shorter but I like the look of the filters on your bike more.

I'm also looking for a set of calipers from a SV650 ... I think a great improvement from the oem ones.

I'll keep you updated when it's running.

Let me know if you go with the SV calipers and I can give you dimensions etc for the caliper mount plate,
