Sydney Cafe Racers
Kick start those engines, slick back that hair and polish those shoes as Throttle Roll returns to Sydney on Saturday May 10 to celebrate the Australian custom motorcycle scene and the culture that surrounds it.
Taking place at The Vic, Enmore, the two-day event is the largest festival of its kind in the country. With more than 70 bikes on display, live music from rockabilly legends and fuel in the form of Sydney’s best spit roast, the weekend will celebrate the creativity of bike and rider.
Saturday’s festivities will commence with a three-hour organised ride from the city which will take in the scenic sights of the Stanwell Tops before heading on to The Vic for a day and night of music and entertainment.
Taking to the stage will be Pat Capocci, one of the country’s most respected roots and rockabilly artists and The Drey Rollan Band who will be rocking the outdoor courtyard with their charming guitar melodies and toe tapping rhythms.
Sydney-seven-piece Papa Pilko & The Bin Rats will be completing the line-up along with The Big Blind Ray Trio and The Tequila Twins - whose powerhouse sounds will transport guests to the juke joints of the Deep South.
Jazz, bikes and blues will be the order of the day for ‘Hangover’ Sunday. The second day of action will also include the Australian film premiere of ‘Why We Ride’ and the latest work from ‘Stories of Bike’ will be unveiled for the first time.
