I know the stigma behind oil threads and I apologize. However, I’ve been driving myself crazy over which oil I should use.
About 3 years ago I picked up a random motorcycle oil that had all the ratings however it was fully synthetic. After doing more research I found that mineral oil is best for our older bikes so I switched to valvoline mineral. I also switched from 10w40 to 20w50. I did this because I feel my engine is old and needs more protection.. however recently I was told 20w50 is too much for the small cb350f. My bike has a slight leak coming from the cylinder block and I would like to use the best protection. These little bikes can get hot too so I always thought 20w50 was fine? I also live in northern Jersey. What are your thoughts?
In terms of types of oils which should I go for? I don’t want to use valvoline anymore
