Nice. Be careful with the paint. All it takes is a little oops and you end up having to redo it. I know, I have done it with the handle bar control slipping and falling sideways ontonthe tank I had mounted.
If the badge is freshly painted, use thinner to remove paint from the raised part of the letters, a scotch bright pad could do it too.
Looks good so far.
There are some nice aftermarket MC reservoirs out there, that don't stick up as high.
Finished wiring the entire front end today. This is the extent of my wiring harness. So glad I decided to make my own harness. If anyone needs some diagrams to help simple wire their Honda four, pm me.
Electrical is all done except for the tail light and rear turn signals "thus the extra looms of wiring" Running only two fuses on the bike, a 60a from the battery terminal to the starter solenoid, and a 30a from the starter solenoid to ignition. Placed the new regulator rectifier combo where the horn use to be for adequate airflow. Petcock valve was relocated 4.5" towards the front as there was interference with the carbs. Buchanan's started working on my rims today. Starting to see the end result in sight! Pretty damn excited! Btw: my hidden stickers add 5whp
I fabbed up a little rear fender that attaches to the swingarm on my 360. Pretty low profile and keeps the crap out of my UNIs. I'll post a pic shortly.
I cut out a more attractive section of the stock plastic fender from the 360 and used that as a mold to lay up fiberglass to make the fender itself. Food for thought.
Thats a nice fender! I think I have settled with something going on the center part of the frame before the carbs but still tinkering.
Made my own rear set brackets and they are drying from paint. Also got in my mandrel bend U section from summit racing and 12" reverse cone exhaust from DCC. Should be able to fab up the exhaust tomorrow. And yes I do some of my painting in a old tire balancer. I have a handful of them from when I use to own a shop.
Not sure what header I have as it came with the bike. I only used about 3" of the Mandrel bend tubing to get the correct angle of the muffler position underneath.

Gotcha. I've got a similar 4-1 exhaust on my 550, it also came with the bike. I can't remember if it's a Mac or Kerker but they look pretty similar. The muffler on it give the bike a pretty high pitched note at cruise. What you've got going on is more the sound I'd like to hear.
Wasn't too bad to do, about a $100 muffler from DCC, and a little bit of bent tube. Not sure what location you are in, but if you are in Northern California, I can get it done in a couple hours with a case of beer as trade I have extra mandrel bent tubing too.
It is close but clears. I can also heat the bracket and bend it away slightly if it starts touching. Luckily, the stock shifter pedal is made out of steel so it is pretty easy for me to cut it and weld on a linkage bracket to match the rear set. Heres some pictures.
