;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
just got back from my first proper ride on the K1!!! it now works!! goes past 6,000 rpm, 60 mph no problem now even with worn exhaust camshaft valve clearance of about .025" not .001".....SIMPLE! All I did was change the carbs, coils, condenser, ground condenser, set points again again, do timing fanatically, check floats again, clean petcock again, seal air leaks again, grind smooth carb flanges, seal them again, & on and on-- yikes! no idea what it was but now it has that wonderful winding thing!! sound excited? you bet! THEN HMMMMM....it's 5:30, just passed one of those big lighted signs "YOU ARE SPEEDING-SLOW DOWN XXX KPH" OOOOPS TIME TO GO!
then back home, carefully put it away out of sight before any local PD members come patrolling for someone doing cafe at dinnertime on the main arteries, and in the neighbourhood..ooops, but when you gotta know how it works.....the fanatics have it.
YEHAAA AGAIN. So the idle sucks a a bit and the shifter is sticky and the cluthc plates need cleaned...who cares, IT WORKS!
;D ;D
