Electronic Ignition for a cb350 twin

I just picked a pair of Dyna 3ohm coils and am looking for an electronic ignition to replace my points system for my 1971 CB350 twin. (Preferably one that can hide under the points cap) Anyone know of a source in the USA where I can find one? I think Dyna only sells electronic ignitions for cb350 fours...

Have you checked with Z1 Enterprises? If Dyna makes one, they'll know about it.

Another brand to check is Boyer, who makes some for twins.

Dyna doesn't make one for the honda twins. I've checked. Since they have a very simple 360* crank with a 'wasted spark' system, I've seen some realy good DIY conversions or (I'm not sure how hard it would be to swap) my '78 cb400 twin came stock with an electronic ignition you might be able to swap out a unit from a newer bike.

I found one from Bore-Tech, but it's $350+ ... if any of you millionaires out there can afford it let me know what you think.

I custom build electronic ignitions for cb 350 twin, but they won't fit under the stock points cover,it will however bolt in place of the points and the trigger fits on the cam in place of the mechanical advance.I've used this for 2 seasons road racing and no problems, this system is used on a total loss battery,so wiring this to an active system would require some rewiring and modification of your stock wiring!,,,,,,,,I'll keep you posted when I feel like building some more for sale(and I have lots of them!!)....and I include the coils!!,,,,,,,,Todd

Okay Todd what is up I did not have a hard time reading your post. What is wrong are you okay? LOL JK keep us posted. You should have told me u did this, very interested. Can it be used on street bikes?
