Soda-Blasting Cylinder Head with Valves Installed??

I'm almost done soda blasting all of my cb175 engine components for paint. All that remains is my cylinder head. I really don't want to remove the valves to do this because 1) I've never done that before and I don't want to buy a valve spring compressor and 2) there's no need for me to as the valves were just lapped.

Since Soda is so water soluble, can I just blast away without masking and then rinse well with water after, without removing the valve train?

Wouldn't it be easier to mask than clean it so thoroughly afterwards that you'd be confident you got it all?

Yeah I guess my point was that even if I masked it, I would clean and rinse well afterwards anyway so why bother masking? The deeper question here is will I hurt anything by spraying the head/valve assembly with water and rinsing? Surface rust concerns?

Thanks!

So long as you don't leave the water to sit and clean it all up, you're probably okay.
