cb200 back to the cafe "lola"

It does sound like a fuel blockage / lack of fuel, unfortunately :( and the starter could be any number of things, starter button/ starter solenoid/ Fuse/ wiring ? :( Ahh the old first run bugs ;) you'll get it sorted mate, just keep at it :D

so after going over it with phil at rode and race up here. found out that one of the spark cap heads was gone, petcock was full of crap so I need to re flush the tank, the rectifier may be gone as the battery dies every time the lights go on and other then that we should be sweet to ride . ahhh the blessings of old bikes.

Nice ;)

You can easliy and cheap fix the electrical problem with a Kohler rectifier. Google on 'Kohler recifier honda' and you'll find enough threads about guys working with it. Does a great job!

Cb200 has single coil, so when one plug fails, automaticly the other one does as well. Sure it's the cap? cb200 can NOT fire on one leg, when both plugs are checked OK and wires are on. (that is when carbs are ok ofcourse..)

So we fixed the rectifier problem by unplugging a yellow lead unsure what it was for and ill post up a pic for some guidance soon.

But here she is on her 2nd maiden voyage.

Need new clutch as she slipped a few times and found a few gears that I never new existed.

And a bigger rear sprocket. The smaller teethed eBay one means I'm changing gears evert second not kewl anyone recommend a good sprocket ??? I think ill change both when I do the clutch.

We will have to do a run down the old road when she is dialled in.

Anyone recommend a good site to get a new clutch friction plates normal plates and springs etc.

Been looking but it's getting confusing as prices vary heaps.

Nice work man. Hey did you have to blue slip this bike, and if so, who did you use?

Yeh was cheap I think about $30 from lakes edge motors at tumbi. I think that was the place it was a mechanic next door to road and race. There pretty good as long as the lights work they will blue slip anything. They didn't even turn it over and run it.

just got black clubmans too but now Im thinking it's going to look funky with the silver controls. did you buy your controls black or you painted all the hardware black?

I painted the levers but the switches are stock from a cm250(right) and ebay cb200 (left). the ones here are from dime and they had less pitch then others I have seen great for the cost and the angle i was after.

So a slight update. The bike is with Anton at moto fix. We are looking to seal the exhaust fully as we vent a little and increase the jets as the little girl isn't likening all this breathing easy.

Oh and I almost forgot I seam to have acquired a new project I'll put up a pic as soon as I get this dam iphone taptalk app working.
