1980 Honda CX500D Street Tracker Finished

Re: CX500D Tracker Project

Thanks,

Installed handlebars, mirrors, and front fender today. Will be installing headlamp, gauges, and front brake caliper next:

Got it running today. Next job install headlamp & front brake caliper. The Mac 2 into 1 exhaust sounds good with additional
holes drilled in the baffle.

Here's a video of how the Mac 2 into 1 exhaust sounds. Drilled additional holes in the baffel to get extra CX sound:

Re: Completed 1980 Honda CX500D Street Tracker

Had to take care of a coolant gauge 7V voltage regulator issue, a few oil leaks, and replaced the water pump mechanical seal to have everything working & ready to ride!!!!!!

Thanks!!!!!

We were supposed to have storms here today, but they missed us until later. Had time to put some miles on, take some photos,
and enjoy the CX today.

Been busy riding the CX every chance I had since the last post, made some improvements.

Installed Hagon shocks. Hotwing Glass made a set of fiberglass flat side panels with one template, to replace the previous UHMW plastic panels. Installed Nighthawk tank badges on the panels.

Copied another CX builder's idea by making the e-fan switch out of a magnetic oil plug that threads directly into the CX radiator drain. It works great!

Installed a LED voltage indicator next to the choke control:

Installed front & rear LED turn signals with electronic turn signal relay:

Installed a Suzuki DL650 shifter rubber on the modified CX shifter:

Currently working on a 1999 Ninja 250 Cafe Racer!

Thanks!

Enjoyed looking at your classic motorcycle build gallery including the Spiderman build!
