not sure if this is the right section but the oem model code is very handy to identify parts
most all of the parts on a jap bike have the 3 digit model code on them somewhere usually cast in or ink stamped
as an example
any mikuni carb that ever came stock on a yamaha or suzuki or kaw has the model code for that bike on that carb
belo is a list of some of the links providing codes
also some handy sites for photo id 750 honda carb id etc
