Hello fellow forum users. My name is Steve. My home base is on the western shore of Lake Winnebago between Fond du Lac and Oshkosh WI.

I decided to get my licence and first bike this summer. I bought this 1978 Honda CB750K8 off of Craigslist. It is a good runner and I have enjoyed taking it to work on nice days.

What I have done so far:
1. New bars
2. Bar end mirrors
3. Moved the wires to the inside of the bars
4. Progressive front springs and rear shocks
5. LED front blinkers
6. Lucas tail light
7. shortened the rear fender
8. smaller rear blinkers
9. K&N air filter
10. Speedhut GPS speedometer & electronic tachometer with carbon fiber dash

I am thinking of changing the exhaust and cleaning up the wheels eventually. I have a buddy that can do paint and body work but I have yet to decide om what I want to in that department.

There is a 2004 SV650 in the garage too, but I am not supposed to ride that.

Welcome in mate great first bike and real clean looking too good to get some miles on her to get used to it and gave ya time to decide wot u gonna do to ya ride am in for this one always here for Q&A's ride safe bro

I have seen people asking good prices for them online. That is why I haven't cut them up, wrapped the head pipes, or any of that silly stuff. I figure I will sell them to offset the cost of new, louder pipes when the time comes.

You can usually find good used 4-into-1 headers on ebay or craigslist for a reasonable price, and then finish them off with a muffler of your choosing. A lot of guys are going with the Cone Engineering reverse meg these days, look great and can get them with or without a baffle. Cycle-X also sells a 4-1 full system like J-rod just picked up... page 6 on the link below

EDIT: and now that I think about it, I have a decent set of 4-into-2 headers hanging in the garage that came off my '78. Would look great with some reverse megs. Shoot me a pm if you're interested, make you a good deal on them

That is does. It looks like he has done some extensive engine and carb work too.

I wish I could find video of the cycle x exhaust on a stock bike. I like that the baffles on Carpy's are removable so you can change the sound.

Greetings from Sherwood! I'm laid up for the rest of the season with a broken knuckle, but maybe I'll see you around come spring!

I will probably cruise thru that area on my way around the lake when the days get longer and it is a tad warmer out.

So I got some more work done on my bike this winter.
Some new paint by a couple of buddies.
We shaved all the badges and filled the dents in the tank.
I also put the Cycle X version #5 4 into 2 exhaust. I love the sound they have!

So tonight I swapped out the stock headlight with a JW Speaker 8700 gen 2 LED headlight. What a difference! Bolted right up to the stock mounting bracket and plugged in without any problems.
