Got to do some actual work on it tonight...
Trimmed the swingarm pivot 7mm each side so it fits in the frame, 1mm cutting disc and grinder, finished with 120grit it's come out OK. Now, where did I put that swingarm pivot bolt?
Had to spread the pillion footpeg hangers to allow swingarm clearance....just jacked them out 20mm using a bottlejack. Shed engineering.
Plenty of room for a bigger section tyre....allowing for chain clearance of course
Couldn't resist setting it in the frame and wedging the wheel and shocker on it....all very roughly slung together. Had to ease the shock lower cleat to fit the swingarm bush, think the 360mm length just might work?.....need the forks fitted to see how it's stance works out

Now to get this to my tame turner who will replicate this with an extra 20mm in solid stainless.
Collected my new fork stem last night, absolute copy + 20mm on the threaded end. Now just to have it pressed in
New allenhead stainless side cover bolts.....incoming.
Swingarm is now with the same mate to have Delrin bushes made to suit the pivot and bolt.

To that end.....So, my Moldovan decal designer has produced a sticker set that I'm happy to use. Just finalised payment so should get them within a week or so
FYI. Two tank decals, 425x140, 2x side panel L shaped stripes and two lengths of 1m straight stripe for misc purposes = £60 posted. Not bad considering they're one off and in my outline design.
Now just have to paint the tank!! I think I'll diy as I can save money and still have a decent enough finish. I'll maybe give two pack paint in a rattlecan a try?
Got to find a RAL number (appliance white) that the powdercoater will supply and then source paint to match.

Mundae update: The new stainless stem is now installed. I can now fit the forks, hope they fit?, and dick with the front wheel/brakes/caliper etc. As well as find a mount for the mudguard.
Also, I think I now have a solution to the swingarm pivot bearing......I'll have the bearing member milled 7mm deeper each side which will allow me to use new GSX1100 needle rollers with a shortened crush tube and stock pivot bolt.

Brembo/Fork update:
The good news is the forks stem fits and the bearings are in.
I fitted the bars and retro speedo to make me feel better.....
..If I can make a shroud/housing for the speedo I'll use it as I like it.
Pleased with the way it will look though, as a flat tracker I think the tank will work just fine...
The bad news is the Brembo needs clearancing by approx 4mm to clear the wheel spokes. The mounting bracket will need to be a work of art too....hmmm?
I'm less concerned about the adapter bracket than the clearance issue. I could space the disc with a 4mm spacer but the wheel mount tabs have a ridge that centres the disc, 4 mm spacer ring would mean the disc wouldn't centre except on shouldered mounting bolts (alread fitted) but is that enough?
A simple spacer ring could be made up, but to engineer in the centering tabs would mean a CNC milling job.....which could be expensive!! Even finding shouldered button head bolts 4mm longer could be tricky.
I'd love to run the Brembos, but might just find an NSR Grimeca caliper which will clear the wheel (as it's a stock item) and concentrate on the adapter mount.

The caliper alignment to disc dictates the position, I'd need to space the disc out from the hub by 3-4mm I reckon. I might try temp spacers using washers just to see how it wll fits together then decide if that would work.
The calpier mounting adapter is another matter.

If I could find a 3-4mm offset disc with the same mounting PCD as the NSR JC22 dimension I'd be halfway to a solution.
3-4mm offset towards the fork leg.
I'll have to measure and get on the phones to find a brake disc specialist who might be able to help?
Anyone have an idea of which model of Honda might share the mounting PCD with offset disc by any chance?

So, after a good few hours browsing various Honda model discs I think I might've found a workable alternative disc that meets the requirement.
A CBR250 could be it. The centre mounting looks likely to be the same as the NSR disc mount I reckon?
The NSR disc measure PCD 12mm hole to hole and the centre bore 10.5mm with what looks like a 5mm offset. I'm not too bothered about the diameter as that can be allowed for when mounting the Brembo.
Don't suppose anyone has a definitive answer out there? Cheers Colin

Small update:
Well, turns out the CBR250 disc won't do nicely
But I am talking to a UK based outfit who can make me a disc or make the NSR disc fit with a suitable spacer.
In the meantime, I've found a swingarm needle-roller set that is 25mm long (instead of 33mm), shorter than the stock Suzuki rollers by 8mm just about the amount I cut off!! If they fit, I don't need to have the pivot area milled.
The FZR glass tail unit has arrived....it's far too large, side and cumbersome....excellent.
Can't wait to cut n shut it and make it fit how I see it
