New member here in DFW. Just recently got my 1st real bike- a 78 CB750f.

Have already replaced the missing stator, exciter coil, stator cover, mechanical advance, points plate, points, condensors..... Got it up and running enough to realize what God-awful shape the carbs were in. Rebuilding those now...

Welcome from Georgia.............................good luck with the bike.

Pix are always nice as soon as you get enough post to attach them.......or I think you can use some sort of other program to post them.

Well, anyway......welcome.

Here's a shot from the day I brought it home.

Welcome to the fold. I wish those carbs were a little easier to sort out. That accelerator pump circuit is key.

Thanks for the warm welcomes.

got the carbs torn down and realized the reason for the piss-poor running. The boss for the main jet on the left carb had been over-torqued and cracked. A chunk with half of the threads fell off when I was taking the emulsion tube out.

Found a good price on a replacement on Ebay, waiting for that to arrive this weekend.
