hello

Coast to Coast
hi there,
my name's hiep, i live in downtown toronto, i'm a graphic designer, i've been riding a vino scooter for the last 5 years strictly commuting,i used to do a lot of downhill mountain biking,
this year i've brought a cb360t 1975 to learn to ride and get my license , my friend and business partner, mike has a bsa from 65, and a brand new speed triple, he's always talking about cafe racers,
i guess i have the bug, i passed on a couple of norton commandos, for sale locally, and have decided to to keep the 360 to cafe, after much thinking, i think i'll install clip ons, and push the forks lower, lower the rear, and buy a cafe seat, headlight brackets, headlights, i brought some turning signals from carpy, from cb750 cafe,he also quoted me $490 for a dunstall seat fully done up,

anyways, nice to have found you guys, love the cafe sensibility, love to learn a lot more about the bikes,
any advice for my project is highly appreciated, as i'm trying to find lower rear shocks ,
overall do you guys think the 360 t has the right lines to cafe , to me it sit real high, kinda like a dirt bike,i'm not sure investing all the time and money will be enough, to get the look i'm after.
thanks,
hiep.[/img][/img]

You'll find lots of support for the 360 here. Great basis for a cafe. You should do yourself a favour and take June 15 off work. Check out the Swap Meets section of the board to see why. Great source for stuff. You don't need to spend $500 on a seat, that's for sure. Lots and lots of DIY ways of doing things - check out the Seats & Tanks area.

Welcome! What's the state of your license and the 360? Are you and it on the road? Bunch of us riding out to a big meet Wednesday evening - 8PM at the Princess Gates - CNE tomorrow :)

hi i have an m2 for almost 4 years , i've been riding it back and forth to work, for 2 weeks now to spadina and college ,i'm thinking of going to paris later this month ,is that what you're refering to?

Did I see your bike at Tom's Cyclewerx? He seems to have several 360s in his shop lately.

Gotta love Cyclewerx - just around the corner (well, a 10 minute walk) from my house. Hauled the 650 engine in the back of the civic there to have the cam chain master link broken off.

Yep - Paris. Bright and early on Friday the 15th this year. We're meeting up at 8PM downtown - you should join in. Rumoured to be over 100 riders to ultimately meet up in Mississauga - not sure how many of us there will be starting from downtown, but should be a few.

I'll be on a black 1975 BMW R75/6. It will likely be revving high as my throttle cables don't like my new low handlebars. Nothing a clutch and a kill switch can't cure till I sort things out.

Welcome Hiep.

A former CB350 owner here. Good bikes.

Newbies always get treated well.

hey yeah i still have the vino , it's sitting in the driveway, i've been commuting on the 360,i figure i'll learn quicker riding everyday,
somebody offered me $800 for the vino, but i think i can get $1500, it cost me $175per year to insure so i might keep it.
