Been Around the Block
Been browsing the forum for a while and joined up last week (I think) Anyway, haven't had a bike for a while, 5 years roughly, and decided I wanted another but have had enough of sports bikes and wanted something with a little more of that classic styling. Looked around for a decent Honda CB but they seem to be way out of my price range down here so spread my range a little further and fell in love with the CX500, quirky, V-Twin sound, solid and reliable, seen some with the Cafe look but most importantly still cheap down here. I picked up a registered runner on Ebay for $425AUD. Just need to go on a 20hr road trip to get it and bring it home.
Here's what I'll be starting with in a couple of weeks when I pick it up. I think the tank on these is a great shape,mine also has the twin disc setup and the early model comstar wheels which I prefer to the later ones. Looking at black, gunmetal grey at some chrome with a cleanup ofthat huge engine and gearbox.
Anyway, looking forward to posting pics of the changes.
