Been Around the Block
I was starting cl160 today and it would't start so charged the battery. Then it its turns but won't start. I don't know if it's because it fell sideways a couple days ago. But i was looking at everything and noticed this black cable. Can anyone tell what it is.

Check for 12V at the starter connection. That wire is not that thick, it has an extra rubber tube over the wire. The outer covering gets beat.

Check the solenoid, battery wires and connections. A loose nut on the starter solenoid, a disconnected wire to the starter switch on the pod, can all cause a no starter rotation issue too.

Of course, if the wire is broken, replace it. !!

Also- Use a back up wrench when removing the wire from the starter. You do not want the stud to rotate, it will break the internal wire connecting it to the brushes.
