So I was able to get my hands on a few vintage 3/4 "Skidoo" brand lids:
They are super cheap on ebay and work great with the vintage motorcross face masks since they have an inside flat that you can put button snaps on...
I got my hands on a few vintage motorcross facemasks:
John Banks Mask:
JT RAcing Masks on ebay:
PAinted the yellow helmet black and Attached the face masks by putting button snaps inside the ear flaps and voila.. Instant Pre-Bandit helmet Bad-Assness:
Yeah.. Yeah.. I know that they are ment to be snapped to the outside of the helmet.. But I like it better this way...
Re: Vintage 3/4 + Vintage Motorcross faceguard = One Bad MOFO lid...
I have been wanting to so the same for my goldflake 3/4. I had that black mask on my watchlist a few weeks ago. I gave up at $50. Looks exactly as i had hoped....BADASS! I'm still looking.

For these JTRacing facemask to work on 'most" 3/4 helmets, you would have to remove the 1 button snap on eiher side of the helmet then drill 2 additional holes on each side of the helmet to put new button shaps in for the mask.
Unless you have an inside ear flap, (seems like only the Skidoo brand 3/4 helmet has them), then you can just punch holes in the flaps, put the snaps then snap the guard on.. I think it looks cleaner that way..

Yea I saw that, that has an awsome paint job on it too. I was debating whether or not to message you about it, i guess the jig is up now. I was wondering how old that helmet was, is it vintage or newer with your own finish on it.
Re: Vintage 3/4 + Vintage Motorcross faceguard = One Bad MOFO lid...
yeah.. its a newer helmet with my own paint job.
the liner and foam is 100%. I can send some pics of the helmet before i painted it..
Its not a vintage helmet.. just a seriously bad-ass lid..
Those are some cool lids. I remeber when I was a kid I had a bell 3/4 lid and I hated it cause I wanted a full face. Now I wish I still had it it was a nice blue metal flake. Kinda ironic how shit comes full circle.
