What did you build this week?

Wanted a whiskey fountain for the deck, but I couldn't quite make that happen. Came up with this instead...

Screwed 2 pieces of teak together and drilled a hole down the middle, coated the inside with some epoxy so it would be water tight

Drilled a hole in the front half for the spigot, installed the spigot, epoxied and screwed the halves back together. Was in the zone so I didn't get any pics of all that stuff. Had to come up with a way to seal the bottom back up since I drilled all the way through, so I taped up over the bottom and poured some epoxy down into the hole

Filled it with water overnight to check for leaks, not a drop.
This is the finished product, just need to work on a mount that will enable it to be portable so I can take it from the man deck to wherever bourbon is needed

Great idea!

Just noticed this thread. Wow, there is some talent here for sure.

My first non-moto related welding project. Weathervane I made my wife for Mother's Day. She has a weird obsession with bats and goth shit...

Couldn't fine a vane with a hanging bat, so I made one. Spins with the gentlest of breezes.

I built some homemade bacon.

Dry cured for 12 days and the cold smoked for six hours over cherry and hickory.

and is that going in a samich or on the pan??
Also, if you don't mind my saying so, slice it paper thin if you can.....the flavour really comes out then

BUT that bacon looks AWESOME!!

Refinished this old chair for my wife's office

Found this what looked to be dining chair for $20. Chrome was flaking, frame was a bit rusty, padding needed help and the vinyl was brittle.

Took off the old vinyl, scraped off the padding...nasty

Sanded down and rattle canned the frame. Got some memory type foam, the wife picked the color of vinyl and viola!

I made 45ltrs of beer.
No pictures, forgot to snap some before I stuck them in the temp controlled fridge.

23ltrs of hefeweizen and 22ltrs of ginger.

I will have a lot of beer in a month.

I would of liked to let someone else cut in all those birds mouth rafters in place also... I got my fill of fiber for the day :-[

I went from a mirror grabbing barely 8 foot opening to now 11 feet, so I can drive the truck through with plenty of room for error ::)

Parents bought a rental property and we've been renovating it the past two months on the weekends. This weekend we turned the garage into a play room by removing the garage door and putting up a sliding door.

It was 100° plus humidity this weekend in my neck of the woods. At that point even pants are optional!
