What tire is this?

Been Around the Block
Hey guys.
As some of you guys may know from some of my previous posts, I am currently in the process of collecting parts while living in the dorms at college for my scoot I am going to be building up in my shop this summer whenever I am back home from school.

I tried contacting the owner of the bike through the forum his build thread is on but he's been MIA for quite sometime so that being said, this may be a long shot, but does anyone know what tire this is?

.
i'm on a bigger computer now so i can see it better and it is as mentioned because it clearly says firestone on it.

heres the current style of a deluxe which is slightly different than yours

hmmm what I am confused about is what tire size that may be because I am really wanting to go for that fat firestone tire look but the stock rim tire size is 2.50-17...

Coker Tire Firestone Deluxe 450/18 is the fat fuck... no 17, you need a 18" hoop and a set of spokes.

I hear you, so I need a 18 inch hoop, and a new set of spokes to relace the hub?

Only if you want the Firestone . . Avon makes a nearly identical tread in a huge 500 x 16 but it needs a 2.75 to 3.00 rim.

How izat helping? he needs a 17... :-X

There's the small question of what bike are we talking about. IIRC, It's a Honda C70 with skinny tires on skinny rims. I doubt that 4.0" rims would be appropriate regardless of diameter. :)

If it does have 17" rims then he either needs 17" tires or he has to at least rebuild the wheels with 18" rims or swap wheels. Whichever way he goes, I suspect that he can't fit very wide tires. That picture from a Ruckus forum looks like a 16" wheel

It is for anyone that has not messed with that sort of modification before. :)

It's called, buy a different rim or a different style 17" tire.

This ain't f'n rocket science.

Hey now, it's a different kind of science to me buddy ;) I've yet to dive into anything involving wheels before! I appreciate all of the feedback though guys, I know I ask some pretty obvious/dumb questions sometimes ;D

We all start the learning process with zero knowledge and lots of potential. Questions are good. learning is fun.

What wheels are on your bike right now? and do you have any way to find out what wheels and tires that OP fitted? That would give you a place to start. You can also google tires that will fit your rims and see what's out there. Then start to work out the almost limitless combinations and permutations that are theoretically possible.

thats ok but my post was for tuna whom asked me why i suggested a 16" rim and tire as an option after he said a 16" wont help you because you have a 17" but then he suggested an 18".

you now have most of the options and your question was far from dumb . . everyone starts at the beginning.
