Cheap-o Chinese master cylinder with rebuild kit (and the valuable pocket tape measure). I'll hold off on installation, as I have the old one working for now.

The tape measure is useful to measure braking distance :)

I put one of those on Rachels Hondamatic (working great). So a second is going on the 400-4.

Virtually new 4" Supertrapp Ebay score $70.

And SS wool/fiberglass blanket kit from International Steel wool.

You'll lose the lovely round alloy reservoir :(

Not necessarily, I have a plan in progress. This build will have a few transitional periods of evolution. It’s just this MC was cheap and easy and will get her on the road quicker. Even though it’s already taking forever to dig in.. :p

In case the CB390 doesnt break the ton this defintely will !

I'm pretty excited about this one. 2003 KLR I bought this morning. I've been looking for quite awhile and this one hit all the checkboxes. I rode it home, this is already a fun bike.

The doohickey was done on this one according to the PO. I might hit you up on that piston and top end you did though. Thanks Jimbo.

Yesterday, deviant1 posted this pic on FB. Said, "It would make a cool poster"

A couple searches I found the original scanned file in the Boston Free Library.

Upped the quality and resized w PS then sent to Walmart.

And what do ya know? Dude was right! Now hanging in our bathroom in a $6, 16x20 Walmart frame.

Mailing him a 2nd copy to say, "Thanks for the awesome idea"

If anyone else is interested I can share the 16x20 printable jpg on my google drive.

The price to print at Walmart was like $15.
