Hey Guys,
I have a 1985 k100 that stopped running. It would randomly not start 1st try from time to time and my initial suspicion was the fuel injectors because when I was looking at buying it it wouldn't start for that reason and the mechanics cleaned them prior to purchase. 6 months later it died on me at a gas station and would not start at all.
I bought new fuel injector for it and she started right up so I took it to fill up the tank. when I got back on to ride home she wouldn't start again.
what I've done since then is the following:
-Replaced and tested the sparkplugs
-tested the fuel pressure
-tested the the electrical current at the connection to the fuel injectors
-got her to run momentarily by spraying starter fluid in the spark plug holes
-fuel does spray out the injectors
My best guess is that the new fuel injectors are just the wrong type and not delivering enough fuel but before I buy new ones I want to see what you all think. The pic is the info on the injectors I had bought. Thanks
