Hi my names Tyler and i'm from the allentown area in PA.

Im looking to buy my first bike and i can't find one in my area so my question to you guys is where should i look to pick up my first bike?

where is the best place to find a used cb ?

Just keep plodding around on Craigslist until something pops up.

I looked for nearly two years at hundreds of different 60's/70's CB/CL and couldn't seem to find something under $500 with a title. They do exist, but sometimes they appear to have more problems than in actuality.

Up in Allentown you should do alright because of all the bikes out in the mountains.
 
i dunno how far your willing to go but there is a decent sized vintage bike show/swap meet in nesco(near hammonton, like 40 minutes west of atlantic city), nj coming up. think its october 24-25 this year. last year there was a fairly large amount of stuff for sale. might be able to find something there. even if not theres a bunch of rad stuff to check out. its like 5 bucks to get in. kinda geared more towards vintage dirt bikes but there was some road bike stuff too.
 
I looked for a great deal on a running Norton Commando for almost 5 years. I saved up the whole time and ended up finding a great deal on my dream bike through ebay in my local area.

Look everyday, Both on ebay (search within your area) and craigslist.

Tyler im about 1/2 hour south of you in Sellersville... I got my CB350F on craigslist. I looked everyday then BAM one day there it was. Just keep looking on there.

same thing with my cb360, wasn't looking for one, didn't budget for one, then just farting around saturday morning i saw it and jumped on it... you'll probably have the same thing happen
 
good find! now to talk him down a little on the price..
 
im hoping to go look at some bikes this weekend so wish me luck.

if anyone has any friends that want to get rid of a bike let me know
