Sad thing is, I have to agree with him, and, I have first hand knowledge of what he's saying (eleven and a half years teaching at MMI)
It wasn't quite as bad around 2000~2005 but people coming in were getting less and less mechanically inclined every year.
Not just the difference between a Phillips and flat blade screwdriver, having to teach people how to hold and use a hammer was pretty depressing (particularly when they had been there for 6 months)
I get a few from: iron and resin, Sydney cafe racers, chin on the tank, return of the cafe racers, pipeburn, old motor racing stuff, fuel tank tv, wrench monkeys and a few other blogs. Net time I'm at work I'll post the links. I think I poster a few of the on a "what blogs do you like?" thread on here but will put them up here when I get a chance bro.
