1977 GL1000 Double Deuce Hell Ride

99 - 02 SV650 calipers. I mocked it up to get a measurement. I'll get 2 spacers machined at 60mm ID X 100mm OD X 14.75mm thick. The YZF calipers have a 64mm ID, so they'll need a 2mm X 5mm flange.

Something like this, but with a 6 x 80mm bolt pattern drilled through.

Thanks to some spacers made by Kanticoy (Retrofuture Restorations), the VZ/GL Hondazuki front end swap is complete.

see, its mutual AND universal

When all was said and done, I had 5mm to make up to space the hub on one side. A hole saw, scribe and burr bit later, I at least have a rig to move around. Two proper spacers will get machined up when I'm ready to move the front end over to the '76.

A view under its own weight reveals its stance...

Reset: I sold off the 77 motor. The 77 frame is untitled. I bought a titled 75 frame last year with a good motor that sat in storage. Add in Henry Abe mags and now we start again...
