That looks like a great service!

I've always kinda 'turned up my nose' at these shocks as 'all show with no go'. Now I'm seriously rethinking this! Thanks for the info! 8)
 
Bought a domain name today that I was surprised wasn't taken.

Part of the plan to motivate me to build some bikes.

I'm still dealing with the anger over the fact that he had the cash and I didnt. Guy we got it from thought it was a Honda... Unfortunately it's sat outside for a year. Paint is faded and there's some super light rust. That said, my step dad is a nut about making things PERFECT. I'm willing to bet that within a few months this bike will look factory fresh. He did say it's mine in the will, so... I got that goin for me which is nice. ;)
 
Oh, amd the best part? My step dad has seen this bike every day for six months as he drove to work. We called the guy on an absolute whim (had to do some real shady internet stalking to find his number) and were pickingnit up 15min later. Had we not snagged it, the guy was taking to a local scrap yard tomorrow. It would've met the crusher.

i have saved many motorcycles and great parts from the crusher, it is more common than you think :'(
i check the local scrapyard a few times a week, they let me buy, most do, they don't get shit for mixed metal otherwise
