I HATE NORTON!

The anti-everything software... not the bike ;D

Just spent two hours trying to figure out a VPN issue on my ex-wife's laptop (she pays me silly money to continue being the IT Guru I was)

Turns out all I had to do was dump the Norton package she paid for and install the free AVG software from Grisoft and Bob's your Uncle!

Lets see... $$ for Norton... $$$ to have me junk it...

Pays for parts! ;D

I agree..Norton Sucks... I just use AVG Free stuff and Adaware.
SpyBot also sucks...LOL...
I wish I too could make money uninstalling that stuff!!.. ;D

Hope you installed something else that will require future servicing.

Well... Windows WAS preinstalled...

And she PAID FutureShop to install Norton when she bought the laptop... think I'll keep being asked for help?

Besides... The network I built for her company over the past 15 years started with co-ax networked DOS machines... including a DOS server... It now runs DOS, Windows 2000, XP & Server 2000... with print servers, VPN access... NO-ONE could figure out the shit that I've done in there... I know beceause she tried another company once, they called ME for help ;D

Parts money for LIFE!
