how to wire points

I have a 1974 cb550 and I'm having trouble figuring out where the points plug in. I noticed on the wiring harness a blue and yellow wire that reaches to the exact spot where the coils are on the frame, also there is a ground and black/white wire. But there are blue and yellow wires that come out of the points also. Where do the points actually plug in on the wiring harness? So basically, do the points plug straight in to the coils or do i plug the other wires on the harness into the coils and plug the coils up somewhere else?

The more i look at the wiring diagram the more it makes me think that someone actually cut the points wires coming from the coils because the points were actually missing from the bike when i bought it.

OK + or ign to one side of coil _ or pionts to the other side .

one more thing you must index the pionts to the rite coil.

Wires should connect near the rear brake switch.
Runs under clutch cover and up frame tube
Runs into main harness then up to coils.
The condensers are next to the points
