CB350 Dyna Miniature Coil + Pamco Electronic Ignition

So, I bought a 1971 CB350 this summer that had been sitting since 1985. I got it running and have had mixed results with reliability. I've gotten down to the point that I was sick of the ignition system. So, out of a desire for simplicity I decided to buy the Pamco Electronic Ignition (http://www.cb450ignition.com/Index350.htm) and found the Dyna Miniature Series coils and thought I'd give it a try.

Here's the issue...the coil only has one ground so if I wire both ignition connections (or call it both points) to the same ground on the coil it will complete the circuit and make the spark plugs fire on both cylinders. For example when the ignition completes the ground for the left cylinder it will complete the circuit and the coil will fire a spark for both cylinders even though only the left one should fire and vise versa.

Here's a pic of the coil...

SO, is this a bad thing? Can I get away with running like this or do I need to get two separate coils so that I can have them fire properly?

Not sure if that "lost spark" has any adverse affect. I just bought a Pamco and I'm planning to use 2 single output Dyna Mini coils.

You really need two coils - one for each cylinder. They should really be 5 ohm for most street applications, though Pamco may specify something else.

Note, the minis only come in 3 ohm, the regular size coils come in 5 ohm. Pamco specs - Coil primary resistance: 2.5 to 4.5 Ohms.
