hi , i want to have a go at making a new loom for my cb750 kz
question i have is what ampage wire i should use ?
been doing some reading up on the subject and found few people saying to use 14g - 16g wire
what ampage is 14g - 16g wire

sorry if i sound thick but i like to give things a go myself first , otherwise how do you learn

iv got quite a bit of 16amp wire , will this be any good :-\

Just use 14-16g wire that is made for automotive/motorcycle/marine applications. Dont worry about the amperage.

ok the gauge is the thickness then ?

Yes the Gauge (A.W.G) is the thickness. The higer the gauge the thiner the wire (16 gauge is like 1.3 mm. or the lower the gauge the thicker it gets (1 gauge is like 7mm)

but like Von said, just use 14-16 auto grade is fine for a harness.
