I started the wiring on my GT500 yesterday and got to the point where I had a spark at the plugs using the original parts and wires. I decided to use a different (smaller) ignition switch which has 4 wires like the original but the wires were different colors. I installed the new switch and tried for a spark and there was nothing, I think I had it wired wrong. After a lot of messing around I put the old ignition switch back on and now there is no spark using this switch either. Did I fry something voltage regulator, rectifier, cdi box or coils? I HATE DOING ELECTRICAL ON BIKES!!
