Here's a start for the Suzuki table, colors according to the Haynes manual for the GS,GN,GZ&DR125 1982 through 2005 . Pink is only used on some bikes, always goes to the CDI but not always from the same source. Neutral switch on the GZ's and from the Magneto on the DR's.
Suzuki
BlackLeft hand turn signal, and wiring from all turn signals to plugs.
Black/WhiteTo battery negative terminal
White/BlackBrake light switch
BlueNeutral indicator switch and alternator to igniter
Blue/BlackNeutral indicator light
BrownTail light and parking light
GrayTacho and Speedo illumination
GreenSidestand switch and Horn
YellowBrake light and high beam
Yellow/GreenStarter switch and clutch switch
Yellow/WhiteLighting switch to dimmer switch
Sky Blue/Light BlueTurn signal main
Light GreenRight hand turn signal
OrangePower from ignition switch
Orange/BlackPower to kill switch
Orange/WhiteKill switch to coil and igniter
PinkTo CDI from neutral switch, magneto
RedEverything attached to the positive battery terminal, i.e. unswitched voltage from battery to ignition switch, DC Voltage from Reg/Rec to battery and battery to starter relay.
WhiteIgniter to coil

Ugh, the BCC on this site hates me.

I hope it's useful!

good info

i think on the Hondas wired for Headlight Always On:
yellow/red is the power to the starter solenoid (black wire on solenoid is grounded to frame)
blue/white is power to the headlight (cuts out when button pushed and transferred to yellow/red)

Black wire is not ground.  Black wire is 12V when the ignition switch is on.
Blue/white is for front right running light for those bikes with running light / turn signal combos.
For always on bikes, it's the black/yellow wire that feeds the headlight switch.

OK thanks
that's how it is on my CB200T at least
must be unique to that bike, maybe a few others too
I was able to run replacement switches from a CM185T (I did have to swap the plug for bullet connectors, but same wiring setup)

I stand corrected.

Just checked the CM185 diagram and it all matches up with what you said.  Not sure what those guys were thinking... maybe they had some extra parts in the warehouse when they made the CMs.  :P
