Xs750 896cc engine rebuild and chop!

Cleaning stuff up.. tedious.. will be collecting stuff from focusinprogress tomorrow. And cylinders!

Cleaned up and polished the calipers and brackets today, only to find out i ordered the wrong pistons and seals... mumble.. grumble.

The bronze is proving itself surprisingly easy to work with!
Softens up real nice after you heat and cool it.

Tanks man! It was really interesting to work with. A lot more forgiving than sheet metal i think. Should be at that price

Are you going to try to shine it up when it's done, or leave it sort of "natural" looking as it is?

Originally i planned on grinding, sanding and polishing it to mirrorshine, buuut i really love the raw bronze look! Gonna be hammering it even enough to sand it down and polish it later if i want to. And the welds turned out nice enough to keep them on there

I dig the raw look also. Was sort of hoping that's what you'd say :)
Yea, buffing is kind of gay isnt it?
Power buff gays..
I swore relatively early in life not to spend any great amount of time polishing stuff (except the old rod maybe).. so keeping it raw and ratty really helps me keep that vow!
