Hey guys (and girls?)

The next "cars and coffee" in Kapellen is the 26th of april at 10.00h. I'll be there. I hope some other Belgian ace owners show up. I'm very curious to meet everyone and to see the bikes.
Check out the link for more info.

Sounds good to me. How about one of the bars at the Dageraadplaats at 11.30h? That way we can stay in Kapellen for about an hour and then ride to Zurenborg together?

Haha,

I will be there. Lets hope for good weather and a big turnout.

Anyone will be doing the tour afterwards?

Dirk

First Antwerp Ace Meeting today. In my opinion a big succes. I saw a lot af great cars and bikes. And got to meet with Red Ace and Cafe(r)Acer. I'm sure we'll meet again.

Hi guys,

I wish I could've made it, but it was my bachelor weekend, so I was kind of preoccupied trying to survive. I made it :p

I'm from Gent, so It could've been a sweet trip. Pity the weather was bad though!

Actually, I have some questions about the Ace with the yellow headlight.

I think I have the same exhaust as you! Is yours so loud too? If not, did you do anything to dampen the noise?

Also, I love your rear fender, or lack of it, maybe. It's exactly what I'd like to change on my Ace. Do you mind sharing what you did and how?

One last picture of Red Ace. Caught on camera by the "Cars and Coffee" photographer and posted on their website. Looking speedy Red Ace.

Hey Spiffmeister,

I'm using the emgo trumpet muffler. I removed the original baffle (because it didn't do anything and couldn't be packed with dampening wool because it fits too tight) I replaced it with a whisper exhaust baffle (see picture), and added some more dampening. Now it's still loud but doesn't do any damage to my eardrums anymore.

I removed my rear fender completely and replaced it with a piece of rubber carpet from my car. ;D I cut it to fit and pierced some metal rings into it to connect it with some straps. It goes all the way to the back to protect my rear light and its wires.

Hm, that doesn't seem too complicated. I think even I could do those changes :) i'm not technical at all, so it's all a bit challenging :p

How did you fix the mounting of the license plate, rear light and indicators?

It reminds me of a "mod" I once did on my Honda Camino when I was like 18 or something. It was a real death mobile, and actually went faster than my Ace does now.
However, it always died when it rained, so I made a protector from some rubber thing I had, shielding the carburator from the water. It worked, mostly :)

The rear light was sold together with a license plate holder. (see picture)

I connected the plate holder to the light, the light to an L-shaped piece of aluminum, I connected this to the bike with two brackets. I hope this helps.
The indicators are still in the same place. But i replaced the bulbs with orange ones and the lenses became clear ones.
