Removing wires from alternator plugs

Been Around the Block
I need to remove the wires from the plugs on the alternator harness to slide new sleeps over them (they are wrapped in old tape now). I have tried the smallest screwdriver in my mini set with no luck. Is there a tool or a trick?

Thanks,

Rick

Thanks budlite here are a couple of pics. found it as a non runner on cl last summer and have been collecting parts for getting it on road.

wow......so you ordered one of those?

cool.

Glad I could help out.

Good looking little 100, I'm currently working on one myself.

I usually beat a piece of welding wire flat and grind it narrower. ;D
Made one from the replaceable top pice of electric toothbrush, reasonably tough stainless steel, cut off bristles and dipped in ;Liquid Tape' looks like a 'real one' 8)

I used a small screwdriver, (One of those small ones that many places give out free, ground the point longer and straighter, and viola', a removal tool.
