I´m looking for a complete cylinder head for my XS 750 build!
Late model...

I have a late head that has chewed a few valves.. not sure if its too far gone to weld up and reshape, which i could do first.
Havent looked at it for a few years but it would be quite cheap, think valve guides were worn out too.

sounds wild man :) could you post some pics :)?
 
Cant find any pics sorry, and the head is 1,5hrs drive from me.. from what i remember the valve seats were ok, mostly chewed up alloy, which can be built up again. Its pretty great welding old jap alloy actually.
 
Ok, so im back at the workshop where i left this head, and its actually better than i remembered, also i apparantly started cleaning it up before i used the other head i had, cyl 1 and 3 had the most damage. Seats look fine though, all guides were shot, removed them carefully with heat and cleaned the exhaust guides before removal so should be good for new guides and a mira grind job. The little meat i removed from the chambers should not matter much, could be built up but i dont think its necessary.
