I was looking for information and guys were talking about someone wanting 560$ and another something like 50$/carb to clean.
I am just writing as an extremely satisfied customer of “Wired George,” I think in Texas. Check out his website for information.

If it's a shop, $50.00 a carb isn't too bad as they have overheads to pay plus stock to inventory.
Even $500 isn't totally outrageous for an in-line 4 set that hasn't been touched in 40+ yrs.(around $750 if they have been touched)
I only 'do' carbs as a hobby and really wouldn't want to 'get involved' with modifying anything after 1978 as there are often EPA modifications that make life a real PITA
