SR250 brat

Replaced the old stock shocks with these progressive baja shocks. These are 17.5inches to fit the extended swingarm. They were originally red and black

IT IS INTETRESTING
why did you stretch the wheelbase so much ? and you are going to have to kick the end of the rear fender up and even then you may not have clearance to the seat, you have about 8" of wheel travel with the long travel shocks layed down like that...
but i will say it is unique, good on you for breaking the mold

No real reason for extending the swingarm. Just wanted a different look than what most sr250 builds looked like. Clearance shouldn't be an issue. I've sat on it and really bounced and it was good. Im 6'1 1950 and it held great. With the shocks at that angle it actually becomes stiffer than if it was at the stock angle. But yes its different/interesting. Thanks for the reply

What kick start lever did you end up using? I added a kicker to my SR250 several years ago and tried using a lever off an XS400 but it hits the engine case if I'm not careful. Before I go about grinding down my existing lever I figured I'd ask what kind you're using.

bouncing on it is nothing at all like hitting a bump in the road
the rear fender is a goner the way it is now
maybe you have it way oversprung ? it should be nice and cushy
you clearly dont understand suspension geometry because what you have done is increase the leverage quite a bit over the stock set up as well as increase the travel x 2

Its part number 83-61634. Fits perfectly
