junkyard cb350 worth buying?

Been Around the Block
There is a junkyard near me that specializes in british cars. They appear to be liquidating stock. I think the junkyard was inherited. The guy has a cb350 and a sl350. He might have a title for one. I would like a project to put on the road. Not interested in building a 350 race bike. What is a reasonable offer for the bikes?

I was at a swap meet and a guy was asking $200 for his locked up CB350. It was about 95% complete. I'd say that's about the top priced I'd pay for a junkyard special. Since he's liquidating, he would be motivated to get rid of them at a low price.

I got to see the bikes today 1 SL 350 fully complete not too bad on rust it was covered. No title he never titled he used it as an enduro bike. 1 CB 350 Frame and motor only lots of rust no title.

He's got a couple of odd ball bikes a suzuki GT 550 3 cylinder. And some sears motorcycle that looks really old with lots of rust.

The Honda's are of interest to me. But with no titles, very slim chance of getting one. And little chance of getting a streetable bike.

I'm gonna wait and see what's at barber. If I can find a cb350 frame with a title, I may go pick them up.

He is not necessarily liquidating he was just crushing some cars to sell for scrap. He is just Crushing the cars he's already pulled all usable parts from

I'm not going to pursue these bikes as a project. gonna stick to 160's, 175's, and 200's. If he had a title it would be different.

anyway, if you are interested in these bikes, they are in columbia, SC. PM me and I will pass along the guy's phone number.

Take your time and keep looking, they are out there and with titles. Most people will say not to pay more than $1 a cc for a complete, non running bike. I ask everyone I see for old garage bikes. I got this for $400 w 5k original

Yea they are out there and it makes no sense to buy a mess or someone else nightmare when there are plenty of good candidates out there. The BMW was two blocks away in a neighbors garage just waiting for me to ask. And in this wonderful economy it is a buyers market so start low, you can always go up but not down. Here is the KZ now...
