Just bought 1977 Honda CB400f Four

Hey everyone, just picked his up. Has spark, compression. Anyone have a wiring diagram to show how the killswitch should be wired? Its all cob jobbed up and might be my issue why it wont start.

there should be two wires running to the killswitch.

one black, a switched power wire activated by the key.

note that you'll find a few of these as it is a means of providing power to any accessories contingent upon the ignition switch being on.

one black/white, a power wire that ultimately splits in two and feeds each coil.

Yeah. You can jump the black and black/white wires together and bypass the switch, if it starts when you do that then that's your problem.

Nice buy. These bikes are rare and will fetch a pretty penny in restored stock condition
