What is your favorite tool? why?

Mine is an angle grinder, nothing ever gets in its way, it is loud, dangerous and smells good.

Makita electric impact driver - 14 8 mm screws to remove? No problem, that will take 30 seconds!

Way to hard to pick one with all the tools here. But I can narrow it down to FIX, Von Yinzer, Swapmeet Louie, or Bradj. Oh wait, you said "what" not "who". Uhm, I guess I'll go with air ratchet.

I would have to go with my trusty mig welder.

runners up:
Sheet metal brake
10" chop saw

Why? Because I like to make things out of sheet metal.

I use my bench grinder quite a bit for polishing, grinding, cleaning up parts, and stripping paint. Very useful tool. I also have a welder but I'm just in the learning stages, but I think this will quickly become one of my favs. Air compressor is well loved as well.

Either my Snapon ratchet, because it feels so right in my hand and just works.
Or my MacBook Pro, because it makes all my other projects possible and is a source of constant inspiration.

+1, but I love mine because I purely suck at welding! My 2nd favorite is my little welder ;D
