Swingarm flat fender mount.

Looking for ideas to mount a 6" flat boat trailer fender to a 2006 Honda Rebel? Thoughts are to weld a bracket to the rear of the swingarm, bolt fender to it and fab some struts to bolt to a bracket welded to the swingarm H near the rear Axel. Any other ideas?

Here is mine on an EN450 Im building.

If Jeff ever gets back to me I'm doing one for is wife's 'Rebel'
Using a front guard off a larger Honda, (forget which one?)
Going to make brackets same as my XS650 so it can be much tighter to wheel (although quite a lot more work)
Just unted down a couple of pics, will have to hunt down pics of Yamaha
Tank is 90's Sportster with bottom cut out and welded to scrap Rebel tank bottom (crashing usually just messes up the bit's you can see)
Found pic of XS rear. U shaped channel around swing arm pivot, L shaped on axle so mudguard moves when adjusting drive chain. It's part of a picture I was 'playing' with removing background (I'm not much good with PSP or GIMP)
