Gonna start a build log on my CB900 custom that I'm gonna brat. It supposedly runs but the starter is bad so I'm waiting on that to come in. We shall see if it runs soon. Here's some pics of what I'm working with. It's pretty clean.

what the heck is that front wheel from?
Pretty sure it's the original and all the markings seem to match the rear, but I know for a fact the forks are from a different bike so who knows. Maybe someone will recognize it. Nice 81 750 by the way.

The fork tubes, brakes and wheel look like Kawasaki KZ750 4 to me.The big thing near the handle bar clamps is a fuse box,You would have to do a fair bit of wiring to relocate it.Its not major work but not a five minute effort either.

Yes, I will probably relocate the fuse box and will get another ignition and relocate it as well.

Most Jap wheels have similar markings.Size, ratings and some quality testing standards org mark like a"JAMA"mark can be seen on most 80's wheels from Japan. That bike would not have left the factory with a comstar on the back and a mag on the front.

I didn't realize they were different. I thought the front was a comstar, but like I said, I know the forks are not original som the wheel may not be either. Maybe it got wrecked and someone replaced the entire front end. Who knows?

Like it, I'll be keeping an eye on this for sure. Me thinks that customized DOHC iron is going to come on strong really soon...especially when people finally realize that they are great buys.

Found a pic of a front wheel off a CB900 Custom on ebay and obviously mine is not original. Hadn't noticed that it wasn't a comstar.

Swivel' the guy I got the bike from said he thought the front end was from a Yamaha' so could it possibly be a Yamaha wheel? I don't know if it is Yamaha, that's just what he said.
