caferacer.net has been down for the last couple of days...
i like it because i can type the name with one hand. important consideration, especially for porn websites i guess.
MSN shut down their groups, so http://groups.msn.com/HondaCB450DOHC is gone. Most of the guys have moved over to HondaTwins.net. There is a special 450s section since the engine is significantly different than the other twins. A good place for technical info and parts. It's really the only other one I participate in.
Any Canadians (or Americans for that matter!) interested in Kawasaki Triples of any size, can get a wealth of local info and help at Kawasaki Triples Canada, http://www.triplescanada.proboards.com/index.cgi?
Good people with lots of advice, knowledge and, if you're lucky, parts to share! I waste tons of time there every day! 8)
There are other Triples sites based out of the USA, England and other countries, but I'm most familiar with KTC. ;D ;D
The feeling I get on that forum is that they are more of the old guard, and have a higher ratio vintage racers to street riders. I really think they have a good knowledge base, its just sometimes comes with "better than thou" attitude. However I think thats more the norm than the exception on any forum though. In that same vein of thouht, we are really lucky here on DTT, for the most part everyone is really cool and laid back and ready to share their knowledge.
I check DTT probably 3+ times a day and caferacer.net a few times a week.
Lets try to keep the slagging of other sites to a minimum If a site decides to focus specifically on one make, model, style, nationality, color or size of motorcycle, that's their business.
