*The Official* I know Very Little about Bikes so lets Help me Learn Thread

G'day fellow enthusiasts. As stated in the subject, I have little knowledge of the intricacies of motorcycles. I have a 1978 Yamaha XS750 which I bought last summer in an already built state. It's run surprisingly well but I would like to get to know it better for the inevitable day when I must tinker with it. Below are some pics of some stuff that i do not know the names of. This is where I'm hoping all you experts come to the rescue. I'm sure someone can I.D. these parts to help build my knowledge base because I'm eager to learn.

Invest in a shop manual, It will be the best investment you make and will tell you everything about the bike .

i agree, get a workshop manual for your model.. they have nice pics of the bike and what the parts are and how they go together.. 8)
