Updates (my brother is restoring this now and he finally is able to because I got my BMW out of his way.

He did a little hub clean up and added a new sprocket

Go to home Depot and get a length of Aluminum Angle. Cut 2 pieces the size of the Vise jaws. Then you can clamp steel or chrome items without marring them.

You'll find you may want to permanently mount the aluminum.
