my bobber build

Thanks guys!
And a big thanks to Reds who was the donor of this bike and for fabbing the ellectrical box.

I would love to find a 16" xs wheel to swap. Preferable not shinny and new.... ;)
Unfortunately they are getting harder and harder to find.

man, thats some nice work and paint aswell.
i am doing a triumph hardtail, and hope that it turns out as good as this. love the springer good call on that.
have you had the shake down run with it, would love to heir how it rides.
killer job man,

No shakedown yet. I'm still working on montimg the elctrical box and the wiring and I need spacers made for the front wheel. The one's I had made are not right. The wheel is sitting about 6mm off centre.

Once that stuff is done it will be a quick spin around the block.
The steering is really tight because it is an inline springer and it's so narrow. Who knows It may change again.........

Really looking good man! I have a really good 16" XS650 wheel, it'S A 48 spoke from a Heritage special. Lemme know mate....

Well after 3 years my xs chop rolled down the driveway under it's ownpower

Only issue seems to be a first gear that pops out under load. :/
Not very happy about having to pull the motor.........
I'm assuming it's likely shifter fork issues. :banghead:

Well I'm pullin the motor to swap in my good 447 tranny.
The 447 wasn't complete but it only had 2800 miles so I know it's a good tranny

A lot of work, but well worth it in the end. Cool scoot.

Yup turned out the shifter fork was done. It was ground down 1/16"

Well the tranny is done and buttoned up.
Now to put it back in and everyhing back in place to see if it's rideable....

Well
Finishing up the wiring today. Lined the leaky tank and repainted.
Added a sissy bar with tail light mounted on it. I kept scraping my shin on the side mounted plate
