  • Mine started, ran for about 20 seconds, then I could hear it slowing down. It came to a complete stop and the breaker popped. It scraped the cylinder walls and pistons up a bit, but I put it back together and it still works. I just keep it inside now haha.

  • Yep mine looked like honey when I pulled the plug. it was 0 this morning. It's an unpleasant noise hearing a 20hp motor not be able to turn the compressor head, luckily I was standing there or I'd be bitching about buying a new motor and not about oil haha

  • Sav0r:
  • My air compressor actually seized a winters back because the oil was too thick to lubricate the piston.

  • Happened to my buddy a few weeks back. He pulled the plug on the compressor and it looked like grease.

  • I hate that, I was lucky mine came with a bottle that filled it to the right size the first time I fired it up. so I kept it for when I had to change the oil after the 10 hours of first use, the book doesn't say how much you need either
  • Jan 18, 2018, 11:16:02

  • So idecided to order some lower weight oil for it, but the damn manual doesn't list the oil capacity. How is that possible? They list the recommended oil, but not how much of the crap to buy

  • It's so damn cold my compressor oil was too thick for it to start this morning. had to put a heater on the pump for an hour to get it going

  • Actually the capabilities of those tires is probably reasonably matched to the capabilities of the motorcycle.  They're probably just fine on a 90cc bike, slowed down significantly by heavy wheels.  Put them on a 650cc bike and they're stupid.

  • Yeah, the UK's the same deal.  Not really equipped for the white stuff.  A light dusting and everything grinds to a halt in a flurry of ridiculous excuses.  Here in Montreal we have a snowbank 12ft high outside the front door already claimed by two opposing neighbour's kids with snow removal trucks going gangbusters 24/7.  It's when the taxpayers money runs out that things go sideways
