The green flag sets me free
Here are some links to just a few of our builds that we have here on dotheton for those of you that like to follow our work! A couple of these are my personal builds so they are a little slow as I stay very busy here at the shop and do not have a lot of time to work on my own personal projects!

Super reverse port CB550 - http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=19961.0 This is one of my personal builds, I handbuilt all of the major components including the frame, intake manifolds, exhaust header, internal engine components, the wood seat, etc. personally here in house and am preparing to put the final touches on her including paint and polish this winter!

There are complete build photos from the engine we started with down to the bare cases and then of the entire rebuild on this build thread http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=27633.0

Here are a few photos from the engine build including some before and after photos!

Very nice looking work and really like the wood seat !!! Really neat flipping the jugs like that also ;)

Thank you Brother! The head and cylinders on my CB550 are still in the stock factory locations so the engine is a true reverse port, the original intake ports are now the exhaust ports and the original exhaust ports are now the intake ports! I built the new intake and exhaust systems as well as all of the internal engine work all here in house by hand! We just put the reverse port back on the bike lift this week and started planning the completion of the build so I will start posting new photos and information to that build thread soon!

I have not completed the final shaping and sanding of the seat yet however here are the original photos from when we built it!

Here is a photo of the 1x6x6 wood I bought to build the seat.
000_0018-1.jpg

I drew and cut out this first basic shape.
000_0019.jpg

I traced the shape to make the other fourteen pieces.
000_0022-2.jpg

Here are all fifteen pieces sitting togethor.
000_0024-1.jpg

I used an adhesive to put all of the pieces togethor, after the adhesive dried enough to handle the tail section I traced the bottom outline that we drew onto the wood.
000_0025.jpg

I let the adhesive dry over night and then I cut the basic shape out of the wood.
This is the bottom.
000_0026-2.jpg

And this is the top.
000_0027.jpg

Next I started to carve the top and sides of the tail section.
000_0028-1.jpg

000_0029.jpg

I filed and sanded more on the tail section and then started to shape the front of the seat to fit under the gas tank, I also started to smooth the seat section.

000_0007-2.jpg

I started to woodburn one of our DWMS Racing logos into the tail section.
