Just started the mock up of the Sic Fiddy. Honda CB650 Chopper.

The motor has been re done bottom to top now for some fun on the frame. Hard tail. Sporty tank. Comstart to spokey wheels.

single seat.

8 inch extended forks.

XS650 bars.

Thanks for the votes! My working mount has the back end a little low. Sticking with standard diameter front and rears. The fixed rear right now is just some slag i had hanging around. will be about an inch and something longer raising the rear.

Forward controls will be custom. Sitting on that seat, pretty comfy sit. will be a single.

Had to make my own slide hammer to pull the main shaft.

VonYin, at this point i will not be removing the swing arm. Planning on making "struts" which fit the shock mounts. thinking of making them "look" like shocks.. Ever done that?

Personally, no. That said I know it's been done.
 
Might consider something like this for your struts. Looks the part but will give your back just a *little* bit of a break...

voodoovintage.com makes a hardtail kit for the cb650 that looks pretty good. And depending on your skill level the pro builders kit is only $50 more than the set of struts.
 
So some great weather in southern Ontario this week end, worked over the front and rear hubs, now for some bearings and serals.
